On Monday, the Indian government has banned 59 mobile apps from China, including TikTok. However, even after the government ban, smartphone users can run these apps. As of now, it is not clear whether the government has banned only downloading new apps or even those whose phones already have apps like TikTok are banned.
Following the government\'s order, the banned apps on Google Play Store and Apple Store will not be available to download. While banning the government, it was said that users will not get updates of these apps. If you try to understand from this statement, it means that the users who have the app downloaded on their phone will continue to run it.
If these apps are banned from Internet Service Providers, then those whose phones are present in this app will not be able to run them.
What is the point of not getting the update
It can be understood as an example that when the government decided to ban illegal websites, they were banned only through Internet Service Providers. Banned websites cannot be run after that.
But it has been seen that users using virtual private networks can run some banned websites. If this thing also applies in the case of apps, then you can run the banned applications on a VPN. However, the picture is yet to be completely cleared on this matter.
If only new updates have been banned then it means that the new features that the company brings in the apps will stop getting users.
