A fire broke out at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in West Bengal's capital Kolkata on Wednesday night. The airport official said that the airport 3C departure was located near gate number three in the terminal building. After this, Section-3 was closed for departure. After the fire was extinguished late at night, officials said that the check-in process and flight operations at the airport resumed at 10:25 pm. He said that no incoming flight has been affected due to this incident.

In this case, the Airport Authority of India said that there was a minor fire at the check-in area Portal-D at 9:12 pm. Because of this, there was smoke all around. It was completely brought under control by 9:40 pm. Earlier all the passengers were evacuated safely and the check-in process was halted due to smoke in the check-in area. Check-in and operations are slowly being restored.
