The growing tension between Israel and Iran in West Asia has caught the attention of the whole world. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy has issued an advisory. It says to leave Tehran immediately. All Indian citizens have been advised to leave Tehran and go to a safe place.
Around 140 Indian students studying in Tehran have also come under the grip of this tension. These students are studying MBBS at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Islamic Azad University.
Students described the horrific scene.
The students said that the sound of a loud explosion at around 3:20 am on Friday put them in a panic. Talking to ANI, a student said, "The situation here was getting worse every moment. There was a loud explosion around 3:20 am. When we looked out of the windows, black smoke was seen. When we went downstairs, the sound of more explosions was heard." He further said, "After 2-3 hours, the roar of fighter jets was heard. We were very scared. The sky was full of drones. The sounds kept coming continuously from Friday evening till the next morning. There was a complete blackout in the hostel and we kept sitting below the hostel in fear."
'Trust in India's strength'
The students said that the officials of Tehran University of Medical Sciences encouraged them. A student said, "Our university was very helpful. As soon as the blasts happened, our vice-dean came to meet us and consoled us. By evening our dean also came and assured us that nothing would happen. But that night was very dangerous. Now we do not dare to spend another night here."
