Lockdown may take place across the country to stop the second wave of Corona? Know what the Finance Minister Nirmala told the World Bank

After the number of corona cases reaches nearly 2 lakhs in 24 hours, people are once again apprehensive whether the country is moving towards lockdown once again? Is this the only way to prevent infection? Meanwhile, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has told the World Bank that the Modi government is not considering a complete lockdown like last year and this time restrictions are being imposed in the local containment zone itself.

 

During a virtual meeting with World Bank Group President David Malpas on Tuesday, Sitharaman said that there is no scope of complete lockdown across the country at this time. On Wednesday, more than a thousand people died when 1.84 lakh people were found infected with a corona in the country. The lockdown-like restrictions have been announced for 15 days from tonight in Maharashtra, the worst-case state.

 

The Finance Ministry tweeted, "Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman shared the steps being taken by India to stop the second wave of Corona epidemic, which includes test, track, treat, vaccination and covid appropriate behavior." '

 

Sitharaman said, "Despite the second wave, we are very clear that large-scale lockdowns are not going to happen. We do not want to imprison the economy completely. The crisis will be dealt with by isolating patients or quarantined homes locally. The lockdown is not going to happen. ''

 

According to a World Bank statement, Malpas and the Finance Minister discussed the importance of the group and the Bach Partnership of India, including civil service and financial sector reforms, water resource management, and health. He also spoke on India's measures to counter Covid-19 and vaccine production capacity.
