Weather Update today: Cold knocked in North India, heavy rain may occur in these states

While cold has knocked in North India, it is raining heavily in many states of South India including Tamil Nadu. It is snowing heavily in the hilly areas too. The fog was seen in New Delhi in the morning.

The havoc of pollution is being seen in Delhi-NCR. This morning the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded above 370. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there will be fog in the morning on November 3 and 4, while it will be cloudy from November 5 to 7.

 

Schools to remain closed in Tamil Nadu today

Heavy rains have disrupted normal life in Tamil Nadu. The situation in Chennai is even worse. Schools and colleges in Chennai including Ranipet, Tiruvallur, Vellore, Kanjipuram, Villupuram, and Chengalpattu will remain closed due to heavy rains.

 

The night temperature will be above normal

According to the Meteorological Department, the night temperature will be above normal in most parts of the country in November. The department said that the minimum temperature during November will be above normal in most parts of the country. At the same time, the day temperature will be above normal in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

 

There will be heavy snowfall in the mountains

According to Skymet Weather, due to western disturbances, there will be heavy snowfall in the mountains in November. Light rain or moderate rain may occur at one or two places in many states of North India. There will be heavy rain in some areas of Punjab, while there is a possibility of light rain in the northern areas of Haryana, Northwest Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan including Delhi.

 

Pollution havoc in Delhi-NCR

The havoc of pollution is increasing in Delhi NCR. The air quality here is in the very poor category. The AQI has reached 594 in Dhirpur, Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, from November 6-7, due to two western disturbances in the country, the chill will increase from north to central India. According to the forecast the department, the first Western Disturbance has knocked in Kashmir. From November one or two, there is a possibility of rain with snow in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, and Uttarakhand.

 

Heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh

The second Western Disturbance is likely to arrive on November 3. Due to this, heavy snowfall is expected in Kashmir to Himachal and Uttarakhand from November 5 to 6. Due to this, there will be a drop in temperature in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Telangana from November 8-9.
