BJP's Nishikant Dubey, who has won three consecutive matches on the political pitch of Godda in Jharkhand, is in the electoral fray this time with the hope of hitting a four. To stop this experienced political player, Congress first gave a ticket to Deepika Pandey but changed the candidate at the last moment and fielded Pradeep Yadav, who has been continuously contesting Lok Sabha elections from here. Along with politics, Pradeep Yadav has been a better player as a cricketer. He is trying to get Nishikant out by blowing his wicket.
Pradeep had also contested elections against Nishikant in 2019
On the other hand, Nishikant Dubey knows very well how to find thorns. He knows how to keep his words simple and answer his opponents in their language. Due to this specialty, his stature has increased at the national level. Congress candidate and MLA Pradeep Yadav has represented the Godda parliamentary constituency once by winning the by-election held in 2001.
He was also against Nishikant in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as a candidate of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM). In 2019, after winning the election from Godda's Poraiyahat assembly on a JVM ticket, he joined the Congress.
Who is putting pressure where?
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a rally in Dumka, while Rahul Gandhi's rally is scheduled to be held on May 30. BJP teams from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are also camping in all three areas. On the other hand, Congress is putting full force to win in Godda and JMM in Dumka and Rajmahal. Six assembly seats Madhupur, Deoghar, Jarmundi, Poraiyahat, Godda, and Mahagama come under the Godda Lok Sabha seat. Of these, three are with Congress, two with BJP, and one with JMM.
What is the caste equation here?
Godda Lok Sabha's seat has a majority of backward castes and Muslim communities. The mobilization of tribal, scheduled caste, and upper caste voters also plays a role in victory and defeat. BJP has been getting the support of backward castes and upper-caste voters here. On the other hand, Congress is relying on the mobilization of some backward castes along with Muslim and tribal votes.
Sab Clear... Koi Takkar Nai Chai
The mood of the people of Baba Baidyanath's city Deoghar is also like Banaras. Being the most important area of the Godda parliamentary seat, the political temperature here has increased and there is a reason for it. Important candidates are running their campaigns keeping this in mind. One can get an idea of the mood by standing for a while near Tower Chowk, Bus Stand, and Ghantaghar. There is also discussion on the margin of victory and defeat.
Local Suresh Jha says - Sir, yahan sab clear hai, koi takkar nai chai (Sir, everything is clear here. There is no competition). When he opens up a bit in the conversation, he clarifies that he means Nishikant Dubey. Chhotelal Hembram lives in a nearby village. He hesitates a bit when asked about the electoral mood. He lists the work done in the area. He says that everyone has got a permanent house. AIIMS and an airport have been built in Deoghar. Godda has got a train.
Adani's power plant and cement factory have also opened. We see the work. Manik Marandi standing with him says that we will vote after seeing everything. We will see who will do good for the tribals.

BJP candidate Nishikant Dubey says that I work for the people here. I get a lot of love from the people. I am getting a lot of love and support from all the people. Development has reached every village and the whole country is progressing under the leadership of Narendra Modi Ji, including the Godda Lok Sabha constituency.
Dubey does not live in the area, and has done nothing: Pradeep Yadav
Congress candidate Pradeep Yadav says that MP Nishikant Dubey does not live in the area. He should show at least one work of his. He has no relationship with the people. He counts the work of others as his own. Pradeep claims that he is getting immense support from the people of the area.
