Gurgaon, Jan 29 (IANS) A 42-year-old man has been arrested for raping his 13-year-old step-daughter for over three years, a police official here said Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Aftab Alam.
Alam hails from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur and was living here at a rented house in Kadipur.
The victim, who left her studies in class seven, narrated about her pain to one of the patients at a private hospital, where she was admitted for treatment of an illness.
"The victim told the police that she was targeted at several occasions and the accused threatened to kill her and her mother if the crime was disclosed to anyone," the official added.
The accused was produced before the court and was sent to judicial custody.
