The mega auction is close before the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022) and discussions are starting among the players about it. In a video shared on social media, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Shardul Thakur were seen having a funny discussion about the mega auction. KL Rahul has already been selected as the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants franchise. It is one of the two new teams that will appear in IPL 2022. The second team is Ahmedabad, which will be captained by Hardik Pandya.

Shardul Thakur and Yuzvendra Chahal are seen having a witty discussion on the action with Rahul in a video on Instagram. Shardul was not retained by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Chahal was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In such a situation, both the names are in the auction pool. In the video, Shardul asks Rahul if his team has any budget for him in the IPL 2022 auction.

Rahul jokingly said that he will not buy Shardul for more than his base price. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal said, 'There is no budget for God brother'. Please tell that Shardul is famous as Thakur's 'Lord Shardul'. The all-rounder has recently shown with his performance why any franchise would want to buy him in the IPL 2022 auction. He scored 40 and one half-century in the two ODIs he played against South Africa. Everyone is aware of his bowling ability. He did well in the last season for Chennai.

The video was recorded by Team India cricketer Shreyas Iyer, who was recently included in the ODI squad of the Rahul-led team during India's tour of South Africa. India suffered a 3-0 defeat in the recently concluded ODI series between India and hosts South Africa. The mega auction of IPL 2022 is scheduled to be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. Team India will play a three-match ODI series with the West Indies before the Mega Auction.
