After a horrifying video surfaced of two women being paraded without cloth and then gang-raped by a mob during the violence in Manipur, three celebrities have demanded strict action against the perpetrators. A video showing two women being paraded on the road without clothes by a group of men is going viral on social media. Regarding the incident, a tribal group of Manipur has also alleged that the two women were gang-raped by taking them to the farm.

After the reaction of Akshay Kumar, Richa Chadha, and Renuka Sahane came to the fore, now some Bollywood actors are also expressing their protest on social media. He has demanded the strictest punishment for the culprits.
Demanding justice for the victims, Akshay Kumar wrote on Twitter: "Shocked to see the video of violence against women in Manipur, I am disheartened. I hope the culprits are punished so severely that no one thinks of committing such a horrific act again." Meanwhile, Richa Chadha tweeted another post about the viral video and expressed similar sentiments. He wrote, "Shameful! Horrible! unrighteous!”
Reacting strongly, actress Urmila Matondkar said, “I am horrified to see the video of Manipur violence, that it happened in May and no action has been taken. Shame on those people who are sitting on high horses drunk with power, clowns in the media are licking them, and celebrities are silent. Dear Indians, when did we reach here?
Renuka Sahane pointed to the failure of the government to control the violence and asked whether there is no one to stop the atrocities in Manipur. He said, "Is there no one in Manipur to stop the atrocities? If you are not moved to the core by that disturbing video of the two women, then is it even right to call yourself a human, let alone an Indian!"
