MBBS: NMC will issue notification of the National Exit Test, and medical students will get admission based on this

The National Medical Commission may issue a notification regarding the National Exit Test. This is an important decision that the government has taken on the National Exit Test. The exam is scheduled to be held in December next year. Official sources in the Union Health Ministry confirmed and said that the decision was taken after a high-level meeting held at the Union Health Ministry on Thursday with senior health officials. Sources claimed that the notification regarding the National Exit Test (NEXT) is expected soon.

 

 

NEXT Common Aptitude Test for MBBS Students

NEXT will be a common aptitude test for final-year MBBS students as per the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act. It will serve as a licensure test to practice modern medicine, a merit-based entrance test for admission to postgraduate courses, and a screening test for foreign medical graduates wishing to practice in India.

 

 

Admission to PG Medical Courses through NEXT Exam

He said that there is a possibility that the test will be conducted under the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi and the matter is still under discussion. Admission to PG medical courses will be based on marks obtained in the NEXT exam. NEET PG 2023 may be the final version of the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test- Post Graduate. MBBS students of the 2019-2020 batch will be eligible for the next exam which is likely to be held in December 2023.
