By defeating South Africa in the 37th match of the World Cup 2023, India has registered its eighth consecutive win in the group round of this tournament. In this match played at Eden Garden, Kolkata, Team India's star batsman Virat Kohli played a century innings. With this, he also equaled the ODI century of former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. His teammate Ravindra Jadeja was very happy to see the way Virat Kohli batted while batting first against South Africa in the match played on Sunday. Along with praising Virat's batting, he also took a dig at South Africa's batting.

Jadeja praised Kohli's batting

Team India's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja said that the ball was turning more in the Eden Garden pitch compared to the evening. In this match, Jadeja played an unbeaten inning of 29 runs and also took five wickets. Jadeja praised Virat Kohli's batting and said, it will be very special for Virat. This pitch was a bit difficult at times. It seemed that it could reach 260-270. Their spinners bowled well and Virat rotated the strike. It requires a lot of effort when you rotate the strike and remain unbeaten.

When he bowled, the track was getting more turn and the wicket was lacking bounce. But if you take my opinion, it was easier to bat on this pitch in the evening than in the afternoon. The turn was slow here in the afternoon and in such a situation you cannot play big shots. Credit goes to Virat for the way he played the spinners.

Batting first against South Africa, Team India had set a target of 327 runs. Virat played an unbeaten inning of 101 runs in 121 balls. Chasing the target, the South African team was limited to a score of 83. Jadeja bowled lethally and took five wickets. India's next match is going to be against the Netherlands on 12th November.
