India created history on Wednesday evening by landing a spacecraft on the south pole of the Moon. India became the first country to do so. It may be noted that the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) made a successful soft landing of Space Craft on the South Pole of the Moon on Wednesday. India launched Chandrayaan-2 on 14 July. The objective of this mission is to find water on the Moon.
