His competition in this category is Sterling K. Brown - American Fiction, Robert De Niro - Killers of the Flower Moon, Ryan Gosling - Barbie, and Mark Ruffalo - Poor Things. Nisha Pahuja's documentary To Kill a Tiger was left behind in the race. '20 Days in Mariupol' received the Best Documentary Award. Oppenheimer won awards for cinematography and original score. Whereas, Barbie was given the award for Original Song.
