His competition in this category is Sterling K. Brown - American Fiction, Robert De Niro - Killers of the Flower Moon, Ryan Gosling - Barbie, and Mark Ruffalo - Poor Things. Nisha Pahuja's documentary To Kill a Tiger was left behind in the race. '20 Days in Mariupol' received the Best Documentary Award. Oppenheimer won awards for cinematography and original score.
