Modi 3.0 government's 100 days are being completed on 17 September on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Right now, whatever direction the government is taking, its long-term goal is to make India develop by 2047. Still, the track record sends a message that the roadmap for the third term of the government is completely ready.
Especially for the first 100 days, preparations were going on even before the Lok Sabha elections. Keeping farmers and infrastructure development a priority, the big decisions taken by the government recently are the result of this preparation done six months ago.
100 days roadmap of the third term ready
Recently, the government has tried to woo every section including women, youth, Scheduled Castes, and Tribes. Even before contesting the general elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had held a meeting with top officials and ministers and asked them to work on the 100-day roadmap for the third term. This was his confidence about returning to power for the third time.
20,000 crore rupees distributed to farmers
That is why when Modi took oath as Prime Minister for the third time on June 9, 2024, all the ministries started implementing the prepared agenda of 100 days. Farmers are at the top of the government's priorities, this is indicated by the fact that in the first decision of the third term, Rs 20,000 crore was distributed to 9.3 crore farmers under the 17th installment of PM Kisan Nidhi.
Many decisions were taken including an increase in MSP and, the Digital Agriculture Mission. According to government sources, before deciding on the Kisan Samman Nidhi, a study was conducted which revealed that the agricultural cost of small and marginal farmers comes to about Rs 5600-5700, for which they had to take loans.
Project given to infrastructure-related projects.
By giving six thousand rupees to Samman Nidhi, farmers were rescued from this crisis. Similarly, giving priority to infrastructure development, infrastructure-related projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore were approved. PM Janman Yojana is running with a vision of social welfare.
To empower the waste pickers, they were included in the Namaste scheme. The Waqf Amendment Bill, 2024 has also been introduced in the Lok Sabha to strengthen the management and protection of Waqf properties and to settle disputes. Under Ayushman Bharat, health insurance of Rs 5 lakh per year has been announced for senior citizens above 70 years of age. Continuing the Skill Development Mission, a Prime Minister's package of Rs 2 lakh crore was announced in the budget for skill improvement and employment generation of 4.1 crore youth.
