Chennai, Feb 24 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalithaa who turned 67 Tuesday.
"Birthday greetings to Jayalalithaa ji. May she be blessed with a long life, filled with good health," Modi tweeted.
Jayalalithaa, who normally used to visit the party headquarters on her birthday, decided to stay at her residence.
However, her party men celebrated their leader's birthday by organising special prayers at various temples in the state.
At the party headquarters, Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Natham R Viswanathan released a souvenir on the occasion.
A 67-kg cake was also cut and distributed to the leaders and cadres present at the party office.
