The United States on Thursday declared monkeypox a public health emergency. According to US Health and Human Services Secretary Javier Becerra, this emergency has been imposed for 90 days only. He said – We urge every American to take monkeypox seriously and take responsibility to help us deal with this virus. Huh. America is ready to take the fight against this virus to the next level.
According to the monkeypox meter, there are 7,102 cases of this disease in America. About a quarter of these cases, ie 1,666 cases, were registered in New York. On August 2, President Biden assigned the responsibility of dealing with the virus to two senior officers.
6 lakh doses of monkeypox were given in the US
According to the New York Times, 6 lakh doses of the JYNNEOS vaccine for monkeypox and smallpox have been delivered in the US as of mid-July, but this number is low given the risk to a population of about 1.6 million people. Biden's chief health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Thursday that an additional 2.5 million doses of the Bavarian Nordic (BAVA.CO) vaccine have been ordered.
He said that when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, there was no vaccine for it, but there are already vaccines and treatments available for monkeypox. It was first produced in Africa in the 1970s.
More than 27 thousand cases worldwide

It works on identifying the epidemic at the global, national, and local levels and working on its solution.
