In addition, three devotees were swept away after a car fell into Chenani Nala in Jammu. Two of the three missing devotees are from Dholpur in Rajasthan, and one is from Agra. Due to the rain that continued since Sunday, the roads and bridges of Jammu could not withstand the flood-like conditions that were created in the city.

With this, Jammu's road and rail connectivity with the country was completely cut off. In view of the possibility of heavy rain on Tuesday night, the administration had also banned people from leaving their homes without any reason after 9 pm. All rivers including Tawi, Chenab, Ujj are flowing above the danger mark.

One lane of the Bhagwatinagar bridge on the Tawi River in Jammu collapsed, while movement on two other bridges on this river has been stopped as a precaution. Traffic on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway was already affected due to the collapse of the bridge near Kathua.

Now the Devika bridge, located near AIIMS in Vijaypur on this highway, has also been damaged. After this, road traffic was completely stopped. In Samba, army personnel have safely rescued seven people of the nomadic Gujjar community from the river. A holiday has been declared on August 27 in all schools and colleges of the Jammu division.
