Monkeypox: WHO again alerts on increasing cases of monkeypox, said - data is being reviewed

The World Health Organization (WHO) has again alerted to the increasing cases of monkeypox. Dr. PK Singh, Regional Director of WHO South-East Asia Region, said that cases of monkeypox are being reported from many countries. The risk of monkeypox is considered moderate globally and in the WHO South-East Asia region. WHO is regularly reviewing available data with its laboratory and other expert groups.

 

 

 

At the same time, DGHS, Delhi Government said that all health facilities must report any suspected case of monkeypox to the concerned District Surveillance Unit. Should be referred and isolated in the reserved ward of Lok Nayak Hospital in coordination with the District Surveillance Officers.
