Monsoon Session: NCP-Congress gives adjournment motion in Rajya Sabha, accuses Governor of insulting Maharashtra

On the second day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, NCP and Congress have given notices of stop work motion in Rajya Sabha today. Accusing Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari of insulting the people of Maharashtra, the NCP and the Congress have demanded a discussion on the matter by stalling the proceedings in the House.

 

 

NCP MP Vandana Chavan has given Adjournment Motion Notice in Rajya Sabha under Rule 267. It has been demanded that derogatory comments are being made against respected and eminent leaders not only of Maharashtra but of the country, due to which the people of the state are being humiliated. He accused the Governor of insulting the heroes of Maharashtra.

 

 

On the other hand, Congress MP Rajni Patil has also given a similar notice under Rule 267 in the Rajya Sabha. He said that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari's comment on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj should be discussed.
