Ayush (13) and Ahaan (6), two sons of contractor Vinod Thakur, were murdered by slitting their throats with a knife at 6.30 pm on Tuesday in Baba Colony, 500 meters away from Mandi Samiti police post of Badaun. Sajid, who runs a hair salon in front of his house, committed the crime along with his two associates. Three hours after the incident, the police surrounded the spot about two km away and killed the accused Sajid in an encounter. Inspector Gaurav Vishnoi has also been injured in the encounter.

Inspector Gaurav Bishnoi also got shot due to the bullet. He has been admitted to the district hospital. When the condition became critical, the inspector was admitted to the ICU ward.
