Rangpur captain Nurul Hasan Sohan said after the match that despite this unfortunate news, Mustafizur remained calm on the field and performed with a calm mind and complete focus. Sohan praised Mustafizur highly. He said, "Mustafiz is a world-class bowler for us. He has been proving himself for a long time. Everyone has faith in him. There is nothing more to say about him. After the match, Mustafizur also posted on his social media handle X and wrote, "Felt good to perform when it was needed. Happy to have played a role in the win. Now looking forward to new challenges." Chasing a target of 156 runs, the Dhaka Capitals team was in a strong position. They needed 10 runs in the last over with six wickets remaining. Mohammad Mithun, who had scored a half-century, and the big-hitting Sabbir Rahman were at the crease.

Victory was within reach, but then Mustafizur bowled the last over, conceding only four runs. Rangpur Riders snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in a thrilling manner. Mustafizur gave away 23 runs in four overs and took one wicket. With this win, the Rangpur team moved to second place in the points table. Mustafizur also created history with this performance. He became the fastest bowler in the world to take 400 T20 wickets. He achieved this feat by taking three wickets against the Sylhet Titans.
