Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) virtually addressed the G20 meeting of trade and investment ministers on Thursday. The Prime Minister said that today we see global optimism, confidence in the Indian economy. India is seen as a combination of openness and opportunities. He said that we have increased competitiveness, increased transparency, expanded digitization, and promoted innovation.

The Prime Minister said that as cross-border e-commerce is growing, the challenges are also increasing. We need to work collectively to ensure a level playing field between sellers large and small. He said that we must build resilient, inclusive global value chains that can withstand future shocks.
