Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) virtually addressed the G20 meeting of trade and investment ministers on Thursday. During this, he said that MSME is responsible for 60 to 70 percent of employment. It contributes 50 percent to the global GDP. The Prime Minister also said that we need to address the problems faced by consumers in fair price discovery and grievance redressal mechanisms.
'MSMEs need our continued support

The Prime Minister said that today we see global optimism, confidence in the Indian economy. India is seen as a combination of openness and opportunities. He said that we have increased competitiveness, increased transparency, expanded digitization, and promoted innovation.
In his virtual address at the G20 trade and investment ministers meeting in Jaipur, PM Modi said that it is our responsibility to rebuild trust in international trade and investment in the G20. 'We will make India the third largest economy'
PM Modi said- We have moved from red tape to red carpet and liberalized FDI flow. We have brought policy stability and are determined to make India the third-largest global economy in the next few years.

The Prime Minister said that as cross-border e-commerce is growing, the challenges are also increasing. We need to work collectively to ensure a level playing field between sellers large and small. He said that we must build resilient, inclusive global value chains that can withstand future shocks.
