Nawab Malik: BJP demanded the resignation of Nawab Malik, took to the streets, and demonstrated

Uproar is set in the state today after the arrest of Nawab Malik, a minister of the Maharashtra government who was arrested for money laundering and connection with Dawood Ibrahim. Nawab Malik has been sent to ED custody till March 3 by the court. The Maharashtra government is strongly opposing Malik's arrest. Workers and leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi will take to the streets today in protest against the arrest. The workers of the ruling party will protest against the ED. On the other hand, Nawab Malik's daughter Nilofar has reached the ED office. ED officials will interrogate him too.

On the other hand, BJP is also protesting by taking to the streets today regarding Nawab Malik. Maharashtra BJP is protesting across the state. BJP workers have demanded the resignation of Nawab Malik.

Maharashtra government in support of Nawab Malik

 

Maharashtra government is openly supporting Nawab Malik. After Malik's arrest, a cabinet meeting was held at 'Varsha', the official residence of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. It was decided in this meeting that the resignation of Nawab Malik would not be accepted.

 

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has also supported Nawab Malik. He tweeted and said that Maha Vikas cannot fight Aghadi face to face, so the Afzalkhani war is going on from behind, let it go. If you are rejoicing by infiltrating a minister with deceit, then let it be. Don't resign from the Nawab. Keep fighting and win. Kansa and Ravana were also killed. This is Hinduism.

 

Arrest made after a long interrogation

 

Notably, Nawab Malik is accused of having links with the Mumbai blasts convicts in some property deals. Before his arrest, Malik was questioned for about six hours on Wednesday. At 8 in the morning, Malik was brought to his office by ED officials from his residence. After 6 hours of interrogation, Malik was arrested. After the arrest, Malik said that we will fight, win and expose everyone.
