Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to the Naxalites to give up violence, lay down arms, and surrender. He said that if the Naxalites do not do so, a massive campaign will be launched against them. Shah addressed 55 victims of Naxalite violence in Chhattisgarh at his residence. He warned that the Maoists will take their last breath on March 31, 2026. Shah also shared a documentary made by 'Bastar Shanti Samiti' on the social media platform.
Amit Shah appeals to Naxalites to surrender.
The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to eradicate Naxalite violence and ideology from the country. He said, "I appeal to the Naxalites to give up violence, lay down arms, and surrender, as the militants of the Northeast did. If you do not listen to us, then an all-out operation will be launched to end this threat."
Amit Shah said that the security forces achieved great success in the campaign against the Maoists. Now this problem is only in four districts of Chhattisgarh. He said that the Maoists had once planned to build a corridor from Pashupatinath (Nepal) to Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), but the Modi government ruined their plan.
Preparation to make a welfare scheme for people affected by Naxal violence
The Home Ministry is soon preparing to make a welfare scheme for the people affected by Naxal violence in Chhattisgarh. The Home Ministry is in touch with the state government regarding this. Shah said, "We will help you as much as we can through our welfare measures in jobs, health care, and other areas."
Addressing the people, Shah said, "Naxalites not only snatched the rights of many people for their benefit, but their violence, their IEDs, their bullets and gunpowder killed many people or made them disabled for life. Those who talk about the human rights of the militants killed by the security forces do not see the human rights of these people who are forced to live without eyes, without hands, and legs. I am very emotional after talking to the sisters and brothers who have been tortured by Naxal violence in Chhattisgarh. I assure all of you that the Modi government is determined to completely end Naxalism within two years and establish peace in your area."
He further said that Naxalism has only one ideology - destruction and violence. It has been the strategy of Naxalites to garner sympathy for themselves under the guise of human rights. The wounds of these people who are victims of violence in Naxal-affected areas are a living symbol of the inhumanity and cruelty of Naxalism.
