According to a media report, the agency launched five cases related to drugs in a year, but in each case, Adil Fazal Usmani was produced as a witness. Adil Fazal Usmani was also among the 10 NCB witnesses in the Cordelia cruise ship case. Apart from this, questions have also been raised on NCB regarding KP Gosavi and Manish Bhanushali. Gosavi is now in the custody of the police, while Bhanushali has connections with the BJP. At the same time, a witness Prabhakar Sail has accused Sameer Wankhede of getting him to sign on a blank paper.
NCB's clarification - people avoid legal action, so have to go to their witnesses
According to the news of the Indian Express, NCB officials have said that they have to go only to known witnesses because during drug raids people shy away from coming forward to avoid legal action. In this regard, the court has been saying that the repeated use of such witnesses means that they are under the thumb of the police and cannot be treated as independent witnesses.
Apart from Usmani, Gosavvi, Bhanushali, and Sail, NCB has also named Aubrey Gomez, V Vaigankar, Aparna Rane, Prakash Bahadur, Shoaib Faiz, and Muzammil Ibrahim as witnesses in the Cordelia case. Some of them are security staff members of Cordelia Cruises.
Nawab Malik made serious allegations against Sameer Wankhede

He had said that the NCB detained only a few people from the cruise while letting the rest go. Malik posted Wankhede's birth certificate and wrote that Sameer Dawood Wankhede is a fake man. His birth certificate is in the name of Sameer Dawood Wankhede. The cast certificate was drawn based on the name changed by his father by tempering the birth certificate.
