When the entire opposition was adamant on the demand for discussion under Rule 267 and creating a ruckus in both houses of Parliament regarding paper leaks and irregularities related to the examination, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was also seen taking charge outside the Parliament. He told the agitating opposition not to do politics on this issue but to participate in the discussion. The government will answer all their questions. Under Rule 267, any member can submit a notice for discussion on important issues of public importance, stopping the day's listed agenda.

 

What did Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan say on the ruckus?

 

In a discussion with journalists, Pradhan said that the government is strict in this matter from the very first day. It will not spare those who have committed irregularities in the examinations. CBI action has started. Soon the axe will fall. He said that the government is ready for any kind of discussion on this issue, but whatever discussion takes place should be within the limits and under parliamentary traditions. The government has nothing to hide on this issue. It stands completely with the students. Whoever has done wrong will not be spared.

Pradhan said that on the opposition's demand for a discussion on this issue, the Lok Sabha Speaker has made arrangements and advised them to raise this issue prominently during the discussion on the President's address. The President has mentioned this topic in his address. The government wants healthy discussion and suggestions on this issue. However, the opposition is not ready for this. The opposition is running away, the government is ready.
