Police arrested Brownsville's Vernon Douglas on Thursday in Brooklyn on charges of robbery, assault, harassment, and hate crime. Douglas allegedly punched 70-year-old Nirmal Singh in the face on March 3. Thereafter the attacker fled from there. Nirmal Singh had come from India to visit New York City. In this attack, his nose bone was broken and his face was injured. Blood can be seen on his turban, face, and clothes in his pictures that surfaced on social media.
