"Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will serve as the caretaker president until a new president is elected," he said. Parliamentarians have been called tomorrow to elect a new president.
Gotabaya on private tour: Singapore

On this issue, the Singapore government clarified the position saying that Rajapaksa is here on a private visit, and no asylum has been given to him. Rajapaksa arrived on Saudi Airlines plane SV-788 at 7 pm on Thursday.
