NIA Raid: Big action by NIA, ED, and police in many states in PFI case, more than 100 cadres arrested

The joint team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and state police forces have taken the biggest-ever action in 10 states in the Popular Front of India (PFI) case. More than 100 PFI leaders have been arrested in the action of the investigating agency. These searches are being carried out in homes and offices of individuals involved in funding terrorism, organizing training camps, and radicalizing people to join banned organizations.

"In a major crackdown in 10 states across the country, NIA, ED and state police have arrested more than 100 cadres of PFI," sources told news agency ANI. According to sources, raids have been conducted in Telangana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and many other states.

The NIA had earlier this month raided 40 places in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh in connection with a PFI case, in which four people were detained. The probe agency then raided 38 locations in Telangana (23 in Nizamabad, four in Hyderabad, seven in Jagtyal, two in Nirmal, one each in Adilabad and Karimnagar districts) and two places in Andhra Pradesh (one each in Kurnool and Nellore). Was searched. During that time, incriminating items including digital devices, documents, two knives, and Rs 8,31,500 in cash were seized during the search operation. The NIA said that all the accused were conducting training camps to promote terrorist activities.
