After the announcement of the results of the medical entrance exam NEET UG 2024 on June 4, questions were constantly being raised on the functioning of the National Examination Agency (NTA) which conducts the exam, and after the Supreme Court ordered it to respond to the various paper leak cases on Tuesday, June 11, the agency has now released FAQs including the questions being raised. In the FAQs released today i.e. Wednesday, June 12, the NTA has once again denied any incident of paper leak held on May 5, 2024.
On the alleged incidents of NEET UG 2024 paper leak in Bihar and Godhra, the NTA clarified in the FAQs, “It is to be noted that there are no reports that provide evidence of a paper leak. These incidents are related to cheating/mistaken identity and not paper leaks. However, the results of the ongoing investigation in this matter are awaited, NTA denies any incident of paper leak.”
NTA FAQs on NEET UG 2024: That's why the results were declared 10 days earlier
Along with this, NTA also answered the questions being raised about the announcement of the NEET UG 2024 result on June 4, 10 days before the pre-determined date of June 14, while the results of the Lok Sabha elections were being declared. The agency said that whether the exam is online in CBT mode or offline in paper-paper mode, the results have been declared within a month.
Also, NTA said, "By the policies of NTA, the results of all the examinations including NEET UG 2024 have been released after the period for filing objections on the answer key. The practice of releasing the results on time is by the recommendations received from the National Medical Commission (NMC). The date of release of the result is pre-determined and has nothing to do with the results of the general elections. The purpose of releasing the results on the scheduled date is to start the counseling process for admission early in the interest of the candidates.”
