The FIR, registered on Wednesday, said that the hate message has tried to incite groups and create a harmful atmosphere.

According to the police, the names of Nupur Sharma, Naveen Kumar Jindal, Shadab Chauhan, Saba Naqvi, Maulana Mufti Nadeem, Abdur Rehman, Gulzar Ansari, Anil Kumar Meena, and Pooja Shakun are included in the FIR. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police on Tuesday said it has provided security to suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma as she was receiving death threats for her controversial religious remarks.

The matter has come to the fore after the suspension of BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her alleged controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad in a TV debate. The police have taken action against any persons. Along with this, the police will also investigate the role of various social media organizations in promoting false information.

Significantly, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday suspended its spokesperson Nupur Sharma and leader Naveen Jindal from the primary membership of the party after their alleged inflammatory remarks against a particular community. Suspending both the leaders, the BJP said that it respects all religions and is against any ideology that insults any sect or religion.
