IndiGo releases flight update.
Due to the escalating tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran, several countries in the Middle East closed their airspace. Airlines worldwide canceled hundreds of flights, and many had to be rerouted.
IndiGo released a new update, stating that it is closely monitoring the evolving geopolitical situation and coordinating with aviation authorities to ensure passenger safety while gradually resuming service.
IndiGo has confirmed that flights to several Gulf destinations will continue to operate despite the disruptions to maintain passenger connectivity between India and the Middle East.
IndiGo issues advisory
According to IndiGo's latest advisory, the airline will continue to operate flights to eight destinations in the Middle East, helping maintain travel links for thousands of passengers across the Gulf region.
IndiGo has resumed a limited schedule, including 17 flights (34 flight sectors) to and from Middle Eastern cities, as part of efforts to normalize the situation.
Go to the airport only after confirming the status
IndiGo has advised passengers not to go to the airport until they receive confirmation of their flight status. "Passengers booked on affected flights will be contacted directly through their registered contact details," IndiGo said.
