In such a situation, 35 MLAs staying away from Uddhav Thackeray's meeting is giving big indications. However, Shiv Sena is now engaged in damage control. On one hand, he removed Eknath Shinde from the post of leader of the legislature party and handed over this command to Ajay Chaudhary. At the same time, there has also been talking about showing power for some time.

 

Meanwhile, the BJP's claim has also added to the concerns of the Shiv Sena and the Aghadi government. Talking to the media, BJP state president Chandrakant Patil said, "According to the news we have, Eknath Shinde has gone with 35 MLAs. This means that technically the Uddhav Thackeray government has come down to a minority. However, in practice, it will take some time for the government to come down to a minority. He said that we have got good support in MLC elections and all state elections. Many independent MLAs and leaders of smaller parties voted for us.

 

BJP is judging strength but does not want to appear hasty

 

However, during this time Chandrakant Patil also indicated that BJP does not want to appear hasty this time. He said that at present the situation has not arisen for calling a special session for the no-confidence motion. The Monsoon session of the House is starting on July 18. We will talk about it during that time. Not only this, on the claim of BJP forming the government, Patil said, 'It is too early to say anything now. We are currently monitoring the situation. Neither has Eknath Shinde sent us any proposal nor has he been offered anything by the BJP.

Along with this, Chandrakant Patil said that anything can happen in politics at any time. The BJP leader's claim looks strong due to the absence of 35 Shiv Sena MLAs in the meeting of Uddhav Thackeray. The BJP has 106 MLAs in the Maharashtra Assembly and has the support of 13 other independent leaders. In such a situation, if she is supported by 26 Shiv Sena MLAs, then she can reach the magic figure of forming the government.
