Student Found Dead Inside The School Hostel: A class 12th student was found dead inside the hostel of a well-known school in Kilacchery. Since getting information about the incident, there has been a stir in the hostel, school and administration. Top officials of police and administration have reached the spot.
The local police have registered a case and started investigation into the matter. At the same time, the family members of the deceased girl are in a bad condition. The anger of family members and relatives has broken out against the school and the administration. People have started dharna-demonstration. Let us tell you that in one such incident last week, the body of the girl student was found from the school premises. After which there was a lot of ruckus across the district. There were large-scale demonstrations, vandalism and arson.
Police force deployed in school
Seeing the displeasure of the people, heavy police force has been deployed in the school on behalf of the administration. The incident is from Thekkalur area of Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. The body of the girl student was found on Monday, July 25 in the hostel of Sacred Heart Girls Higher Secondary School, Kilacchery. Following the incident, the victim's parents and relatives staged a protest in Thekkaloor and blocked the Thekkaloor road.
Police is admitting suicide case
In a tragic incident, a class 12 girl allegedly committed suicide in a hostel room attached to a government-aided reputed school in Tiruvallur district, police officials said. A senior police officer from Tiruvallur said it was too early to confirm anything except that it was a case of suicide. We are investigating it.
DIG and SP present on the spot
The body of the 17-year-old girl was taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Tiruvallur for postmortem, the official said. Police claim that he allegedly took this step during the early hours of Monday. Amid heavy police deployment, some locals and parents have protested against the incident near the school premises. Police DIG M Sadapriya and Tiruvallur Superintendent of Police Cephas Kalyan were investigating the matter inside the school premises.
Similar incident happened in Kallakurichi on 13th July
The development comes a few days after the tragic death of another Class 12 girl in Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi. On July 13, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly killed in the hostel premises of a private school in Kallakurichi. The girl's parents suspected murder, while police said the girl committed suicide.
52 police officers injured in violence
Protests over the girl's death reportedly turned violent on July 17 when the school was ransacked and police and school vehicles were torched. Around 52 police officers were also injured in the incident. The CB-CID is currently probing the case and the state government has also constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the directions of the Madras High Court.
