Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is going to take out a long march from Friday. Imran has termed this march starting from Lahore to Islamabad. Shahbaz Sharif reached the Supreme Court to stop this, but the Supreme Court refused to stay.
The Supreme Court said- We will neither issue any notice against Imran's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nor will they stop their peaceful long march. The problems faced by the government should be discussed with Imran Khan.
In a conversation with the media on Wednesday, Imran said- I am going out on jihad against this corrupt government. The country should come with me.
Imran's threat
In the press conference, Imran said- We are starting the biggest long march in the history of Pakistan from Lahore on Friday. It will go to Islamabad. We demand that a general election should be held in the country immediately. We will not leave Islamabad until this demand is met. This is not politics, but jihad and only this will decide in which direction Pakistan will go now. We cannot tolerate the rule of thieves, it is time for judgment.
Khan said- It is our endeavor that the long march should be completed with peace. We do not want to break the law or enter any sensitive zone.
Shahbaz government stuck
The Shahbaz Sharif government has been trapped by Imran's announcement of the Long March. This March is going to start from October 28 and will be indefinite. Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is going to visit Pakistan in the first week of November. It is believed that because of the bad situation in Pakistan, Salman can cancel this tour. The blame for this is going to explode on Imran's head.
Apart from this, Shahbaz himself is going on a visit to China on November 1. How much China will help Pakistan in the situation of political chaos in the country, will be a matter to be seen.
According to Pakistan's newspaper 'The Dawn' - the situation that is being created because of Imran, other countries can distance themselves from Pakistan. Its biggest impact will be on the flood-affected Pakistanis. If this atmosphere prevails here, then other countries will also run away from help. Perhaps this is the reason why the government went to the Supreme Court to ban the Long March, but it also withdrew. Violence is also expected during this march.
Khan was failing last time
In May too, Imran had taken out a long march and during that time there was tremendous violence. While announcing that march, Khan had said – I want to make it clear that I have come out to do jihad, not politics. The government has been given 6 days. If they do not announce the election dates then we will reach Islamabad again and this time we will not return till the election dates are announced.
When people did not gather in this march, Khan withdrew it. Said- I ended Islamabad's long march and dharna because I did not want the blood of innocent people to be shed. The police fired tear gas and lathi-charged our people. A few days before this March, the army sent a message to Imran that he should not make rhetoric against America. Khan did not agree and he took a dig at America as well as his army.
