Pakistan Energy Crisis: Power crisis deepens in Pakistan, instructions to close markets soon

The economic condition of Pakistan is continuously getting worse. Due to the cash crunch, various measures were announced on Tuesday under the energy conservation plan. Because of the deepening power crisis, instructions have been given to close the markets and marriage halls soon. The cabinet approved the National Energy Conservation Plan to save energy and reduce dependence on imported oil.

 

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said after the cabinet meeting that markets would close at 8.30 pm, while marriage halls would close at 10 pm. He said that about 60 billion rupees would be saved by this. He said that the production of conventional bulbs would be stopped from February 1. At the same time, the production of high-power-consuming fans will be stopped in July. This will help in saving about 22 billion rupees.
