Ramadan 2023 Date: The Muslim community considers the month of Ramadan as the most sacred. This holy month begins with the sighting of the moon. The month of Ramadan is sometimes 29 days and sometimes 30 days. As soon as Ramadan starts, Muslim people start fasting. Fasting in the Arabic dictionary is called Saum, hence this month is also called Mah-e-Siam in Arabic. Fasting in Farsi is called Roza. This holy month has started from 24th March i.e. from today. Today is the first Rosa. It is considered mandatory for every Muslim to keep fast during Ramadan. The fast begins with Sehri in the morning and then the fast is broken in the evening with Iftar. It is believed that Ramadan begins on the next day after the sighting of the moon. It is believed that if the moon is sighted in Mecca today, it can start tomorrow. The fast begins with the azaan of Fajr before sunrise. Sehri is taken at this time. According to Islamic beliefs, food is eaten before sunrise in the month of Ramadan. This is known as Sahari. Sehri's time is fixed in advance.

 

what is iftar

After fasting for the whole day without eating or drinking, the fast is broken by eating dates after offering Namaz in the evening. It is opened in the evening when the sun sets and Maghrib is called. This is known as Iftar. After this, a person can eat and drink anything before Sehri in the morning.

 

Follow these rules during Ramadan

This time the month of Ramadan will be of 30 days. This time the last fast will be on the 21st of April and accordingly this time Eid will be celebrated on the 22nd April. It is mandatory to follow some strict rules in the month of Ramadan. Let us know what is that rule.

In the holy month of Ramadan, Zakat i.e. charity before Eid is very important.

 

It is good to donate two and a half percent of your year's earnings in Zakat to the needy.
