After Iran's air strike, Pakistan Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani had said that the Pakistani Foreign Minister spoke on the phone to the Foreign Minister of Iran on Wednesday and told him that the attack carried out on January 16 in Pakistan's border was not only an attack on Pakistan. Not only is it an attack on sovereignty, but it is also a violation of international laws and is also against the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the Foreign Minister told the Iranian Foreign Minister that the air strike has caused serious damage to the relations between the two countries. Pakistan has the right to respond to this provocative action. The statement said that 'all the countries of the region are struggling with terrorism and there is a need to take action together in a coordinated manner to deal with it.'

The Pakistani Foreign Minister warned that 'unilateral action could jeopardize regional peace.' No country should follow this dangerous path. This has strained relations between the two countries and Pakistan has expelled Iran's ambassador and also recalled its ambassador from Iran.
