Hardik stressed that his team failed to capitalize on the opportunities in the early or middle overs. He said, "We could have taken advantage either in the beginning or in the middle, we will sort it out. As a bowling unit, they were not that accurate and bowled some balls which the Punjab Kings batsmen took advantage of.

When Hardik was asked during the post-match presentation whether the batting got better in the second half, Hardik said that he did not think there was much difference.
