A big relief has been announced by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi regarding the Chhath festival, especially for the people of UP and Bihar. After an important meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the public will be allowed to celebrate Chhath Puja in Delhi. This will be done with very strict protocol at the places already decided by the government. A very limited number of people will be allowed in public places as per the COVID protocol. With this, it has also been agreed to open all schools in Delhi from November 1.
All schools will open from 1st November
At the same time, Manish Sisodia also informed that from November 1, all schools in Delhi will be allowed to open. Experts suggested that no parent would be forced to send their children to school. All schools will have to ensure that classes will be held in hybrid mode with a maximum 50 percent capacity.
Let us inform you that earlier last month itself, it was announced that Chhath Puja will not be organized at any public places including Yamuna Ghat in Delhi. At that time, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), headed by the Lieutenant Governor, had issued instructions regarding Chhath Puja. DDMA had said that because of the current situation of Covid, it has been decided that the Chhath festival will not be celebrated in public. The authority had advised people to celebrate Chhath Puja safely at their homes, but now with a reconsideration of this decision, the festival has been allowed to be celebrated in public.
