The Prime Minister's Office has said, "To ensure adequate medical grade oxygen supply in the country, PM Modi conducted a comprehensive review. Inputs from ministries like Health, DPIIT, Steel, Road Transport were also shared with the PM. He stressed that it is important that the coordination between the ministry and the state government be ensured.
Prime Minister Modi made a detailed review of the estimated use of oxygen and the current status of oxygen supply in the next 15 days in 12 states most affected by Coronavirus infection. An official said that the Prime Minister was informed about the production capacity of medical oxygen to meet the growing demand. During the review, the PM asked the officials to ensure the uninterrupted movement of oxygen-carrying tankers across the country.
