For Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally on Thursday, security arrangements have been tightened from the sky to the ground and rivers and drains. Srinagar city has been declared a temporary red zone for the operation of drones and quadcopters. Marcos commandos have been deployed in the Jhelum River. The rally venue Bakshi Stadium is under a multi-layered security cordon. PM Modi will inaugurate and inaugurate 52 development projects worth Rs 6400 crore during the rally.
He is reaching Kashmir for the first time after the removal of Article 370 in August 2019. Bakshi Stadium has been decorated with the tricolor and BJP flags. Additional security forces have been deployed on all routes in Srinagar. Barricades have been installed at many places to prevent movement of people during the rally. Drones, quadcopters, UAVs, helicopters, and CCTV cameras are being used for surveillance. Foot patrolling by security forces has been intensified within a radius of two kilometers around the venue.
School holiday today, exams postponed
Holiday has been declared in many schools due to the Prime Minister's visit. Jammu and Kashmir Board, Kashmir, and Central University examinations to be held on Thursday have also been postponed.
Will launch a comprehensive agricultural development program
PM Modi will participate in the 'Developed India, Developed Jammu and Kashmir' program during the rally at Bakshi Stadium at noon. Will dedicate to the nation 'Comprehensive Agricultural Development Programme', a program worth about Rs 5000 crore to promote agri-economy in Jammu and Kashmir. He will also launch several projects related to the tourism sector worth more than Rs 1400 crore under Swadesh Darshan and PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Enhancement Drive) scheme. This also includes the Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine, Srinagar Project.
Will give appointment letters to 1041 employees
Prime Minister will launch Dekho Apna Desh and Chalo India global migration campaigns. Will also announce the selected tourist destinations under the Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD) scheme. Apart from this, appointment letters will also be issued to 1041 new Jammu and Kashmir government employees. Will also interact with beneficiaries of various government schemes, which include achievers, lakhpati didis, farmers, entrepreneurs, etc. To give a complete boost to the agri-economy of Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Holistic Agricultural Development Program (HADP) to the nation. HADP will develop the skills of 2.5 lakh farmers of the state through the Kisan Portal. Under this, 2000 Kisan Khidmat Ghar will be established.
