The DMK government of Tamil Nadu has opened a front against the central government on the issue of three language policy and delimitation. Now famous film actor Vijay's party TVK (Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam) has also passed a resolution against them. The Wakf Amendment Bill has also been opposed in this resolution. A meeting of TVK was held regarding this, in which it was decided that they would appeal to the central government to withdraw the Wakf Amendment Bill.

'Three language policy against the spirit of federalism'

Opposing the three-language policy, TVK said that the party will remain committed to the two language policy and opposes the three language policy under the new education policy. This policy is against the spirit of federalism and TVK will never tolerate the imposition of language in this way. Regarding delimitation, TVK said that the proposed delimitation is not necessary as it may reduce the Lok Sabha seats in the southern states.

TVK also raised the issue of the arrest of Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy and demanded a permanent solution to the issue in the resolution. The party supported the fishermen. The resolution said that Prime Minister Modi should also understand the fishermen of Tamil Nadu like the fishermen of Gujarat and find a permanent solution to the problem of the fishermen.

The first meeting of the Executive Council of TVK is going on

The first executive council meeting of TVK is going on in Thiruvanmayur. During this, big hoardings and cutouts of party leader Vijay are installed outside the meeting venue. In February 2024, actor Vijay announced his political party and decided to enter politics.
