India is trying to show the path of peace and solidarity through its religious and cultural heritage amidst the global crisis arising out of the Russia-Ukraine war and China's expansionist policies. In this sequence, the Global Buddhist Summit is being organized for the first time in the country, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It will be organized on April 20 and 21 at Ashoka Hotel, in which representatives from 30 countries will participate.

It is being organized by the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and the Ministry of Culture, whose theme is “Responses to Contemporary Challenges from Philosophy to Praxis”. The focus of the conference will be on how the current challenges of the world can be met from a Buddhist perspective.
