PM Modi said – India is preparing modern digital infrastructure, and money is directly reaching the account of the poor through JAM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said India is building a modern digital infrastructure and ensuring that the benefits of the digital revolution reach all. During this, he also talked about the benefits of technology.

 

Technology is used in the tax system

Addressing a post-Budget webinar on 'Unleashing the Potential: Ease of Living Using Technology', Modi said technology is being used to make the tax system faceless, to solve problems faced by taxpayers.

 

Technology forms the basis of 'One Nation One Ration'

The Prime Minister said that technology formed the basis of One Nation One Ration. At the same time, the trinity of JAM (Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadhaar, and mobile number) helped in giving benefits to the poor. He said that technologies like 5G and AI (Artificial Intelligence) are being discussed and are set to transform medicine, education, agriculture, and many other sectors.

PM Modi called upon the stakeholders to identify 10 problem areas faced by the common man, which can be solved using AI. He further said that the 21st century is technology-driven. The sooner we spread it, the sooner we make it simple and the sooner we make it empowering to the general public, the better the country and the people will be.

 

Empowering Citizens

PM Modi said that the changing India of the 21st century is continuously empowering citizens with the power of technology. In the past years, in every budget of our government, emphasis has been laid on increasing the 'ease of living' of the countrymen with the help of technology. Human touch has been given priority in this budget as well along with technology.

 

'Zero Defect, Zero Effect' should be the priority

The Prime Minister said, "Zero Defect, Zero Effect" should be our priority. There should be no compromise in our quality and technology can help a lot in that. With the help of technology, we can bring products into production in a very finished way and only then we can capture the global market.

 

DigiLocker brought with the help of technology

PM Modi said, “With the help of technology, we have brought the facility of DigiLocker for every person. Here companies and MSMEs can store their files, and share them with various regulators and government departments.

 

Money directly reaching the account of the poor

The Prime Minister said, “Jan Dhan accounts, Aadhaar and mobile… all three have made it possible to send money directly to the accounts of crores of poor. Similarly, technology became an important tool for Aarogya Setu and CoWIN app. This helped a lot in tracing and vaccination during Corona.
