Prayagraj Protest: Action was taken against protesting UPPSC candidates, police dragged students away; the situation tense.

Suddenly, the police force arrived in front of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission at 8:00 am and dragged away some students. Among them was student leader Ashutosh Pandey who was leading the protest then. In this tussle, many female students sitting in the protest got injured. All the police personnel were without uniforms.

 

The female students say that no woman police personnel were with them. The female students were also misbehaved. Now, the female students have taken over the front and are leading the protest themselves.

 

The situation remains tense at the spot. Barricading has been done more around the protest site. The students are raising slogans against the police administration.

 

Three including the SP leader jailed for vandalism outside the commission

 

Earlier, major action was taken on Wednesday in the case of breaking the government barrier, coaching board and creating a disturbance during the protest going on outside UP Public Service Commission. Police sent three people including the SP leader to jail. Cases were registered a day before against two including the SP leader while another accused was challaned for disturbing peace. Efforts are on to identify the unknown accused.

 

The accused sent to jail include SP Lohia Vahini's national general secretary Raghavendra Yadav, Abhishek Shukla, and Shashank Dubey. Raghavendra and Abhishek are named accused in the case registered in the Civil Lines police station. Raghavendra is originally from Jaunpur and Abhishek is from Mirzapur.

 

The police claim that both of them were involved in breaking the government barrier and the coaching board on Tuesday. They have been identified from the video footage. An FIR was registered against a total of 12 people in Civil Lines police station on the complaint of Lok Seva Aayog outpost in-charge Krishnamurari Chaurasia. Of these, two were named while the rest were unknown. The police are busy searching the video footage to identify the unknown accused.

 

They had come to forcefully close the coaching.

 

According to the police, the third accused Shashank who was sent to jail is originally from Karora, Auraiya, who lives here and calls himself a competitive student. He was among the 10 people who were detained on Tuesday on charges of spreading unrest under the guise of the movement. Nine of them were granted bail by the ACP court but Shashank was sent to jail. It is also alleged that Shashank had come to forcefully close the coaching and was also trying to spoil the atmosphere near the commission.

 

This was the whole matter.

 

The outpost in charge has alleged in the FIR that on Tuesday at around 1 pm, some unruly elements climbed on the government iron mobile barrier and broke the coaching board installed on the municipal corporation pole in front of the commission's gate number two. The government barrier was also damaged.

 

Two named accused in the case registered a day earlier have been sent to jail. Another has been challaned for disturbing peace. The remaining nine have got bail.
