Instructions to the states- Upload data of health workers on the Covin app
The Union Health Ministry has directed states and UTs to upload the data of healthcare workers on the Covid-19 Vaccine Intelligence Network (COVIN). These health workers plan to apply the corona vaccine on a priority basis. The Covin app has been developed by the central government and is going to play a key role in the vaccine rollout plan. The details of the purchase, distribution, circulation, storage, and dose schedule of the vaccine will remain on the Covin app. According to the central government scheme, MBBS doctors, BDS doctors, staff nurses (B.Sc nursing), assistant nurses (GNM, ANM etc.), pharmacists, MBBS interns, and BDS interns will be trained to apply vaccine.
Covaxin trial from 2 December in Kolkata; Minister will get first shot
India's first indigenous corona vaccine - Phase-3 trials of covaxin will begin on December 2 at the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED) in Kolkata. It has a 100% success rate in saving a serious case against Covid-19. The company's chief executive Stephen Bancel said in an interview that if the vaccine is approved and all is well, its first dose can be given by December 21.
