There is tension on the India-Pakistan international border after India's Operation Sindoor on Pakistan. People in border areas of Punjab are also worried.

On Wednesday late night at around 1:45 am, the sound of a blast was heard at three places in Amritsar. After this, the district administration and police administration took immediate action and blacked out the entire district. The officials kept telling people not to panic at all. On the other hand, Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport Terminal was completely evacuated and blacked out there as well.

Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh said that the sound was heard, but no information has been received about any untoward incident so far. Air Force planes are continuously engaged in their operations. The sound of the plane taking off is so loud that it produces a lot of noise, so there is no need to panic at the moment.

Schools will remain closed even today.

Schools will remain closed even today in the border districts. On the other hand, seeing the increasing activity on the border, people of many villages have started leaving their homes and migrating to safer places as a precaution.

Villages are being evacuated as a precaution.

Residents of Fazilka's border villages, Muhar Jamsher and Mansa, are shifting their valuables and household items out of the village in tractor-trolleys. People have left with their livestock and essential items.

Although no official order has been issued by the district administration to evacuate the village yet, people themselves have started taking this step as a precaution. Local people say that there has been a continuous increase in activities from across the border, due to which an atmosphere of fear has been created.

Some villagers said that suspicious movements are being seen on the border at night. On the other hand, the Fazilka district administration says that the situation is being constantly monitored. Work is being done in coordination with the security agencies. People should not pay attention to rumors.
