New Delhi, March 3 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday greeted his Bulgarian counterpart Rosen Plevneliev on the occasion of Bulgaria's National Day.
"On behalf of the government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I have great pleasure in conveying to Your Excellency and to the friendly people of Bulgaria, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day," Mukherjee said.
"India and Bulgaria have shared warm and friendly ties over the last 60 years of the establishment of our diplomatic relations," he said in a statement.
"We enjoy a close, cordial and multi-faceted relationship that has grown and deepened across sectors.
"I am confident our bilateral relations would continue to consolidate and diversify further in the coming years to the mutual benefit of the peoples of our two countries," the president said.
"Please accept my best wishes for your personal good health and well-being, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Bulgaria," Mukherjee said.
