Cricket's apex body said, "Daniel Vettori and VVS Laxman have been appointed as the current Player Representatives on the ICC Men's Cricket Committee, while Roger Harper has been selected as the second Past Player Representative along with Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene. "
The ICC also announced the host countries for the ICC tournaments, with India hosting the 2025 World Cup. At the same time, Sri Lanka will host the ICC Women's T20 Champions Trophy in 2027. However, for this, Sri Lanka will have to qualify for this tournament. Bangladesh has hosted the T20 World Cup for the second time. This will be the first time that Bangladesh will host a major ICC women's tournament.
